BIOGRAPHY - DENZEL CARTER JACKSON
Denzel Carter Jackson grew up in Chicago, Illinois. His father was a Puerto Rican Jazz player and His Mother of Haitian descent was a school teacher. Growing up as a child born out of the civil rights movement, his only escape was astronomy. He vowed at age 12 to educate his way out of his circumstances. A proud astronomer today he lives for discoveries. His mother induced in him a sense of wonderment of information, education and understanding of the world. His fondest memories is of his father playing the saxophone at night whilst he and his mother gazed at planets through his homemade Dobsonian telescope.
